Elasticsearch version values

Hi,
I'm familiar with minimum_index_compatibility_version and hope it indicates the minimum version required for index compatibility (e.g. reindex). But I'm not sure what minimum_wire_compatibility_version means.

That's the minimum version from which you can perform a rolling upgrade. "Wire compatibility" means the nodes can talk to each other "over the wire", i.e. across the network, whereas "Index compatibility" just means the newer node can read the files the older node left on disk.
