I think you answered it---we were wondering about capability. It sounds like elastic search is capable of supporting both descriptive and LatLong searching.

I havent understood your current problem really (not sure what you mean with descriptive search/descriptive locations particularly). Does this mean a special sort of context for your searches?
Searching by name or geo location (or both) is not a problem, so I guess there is something special in your question, I am not able to read out of it
