Encryption between browser and kibana server

I'm following along at https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/production.html#enabling-ssl and I'm not having much success. I've added the three properties listed there and restarted kibana but the browser refuses the https URL ('Secure Connection Failed' message). The http URL continues to work. What could I be doing wrong?

Hi Craig,

Can you please post your kibana.yml here? Are you on 5.4.0 Kibana/ES?
Also can you try to open https://localhost:5601 in an incognito window and see what happens?

Are you seeing anything in Kibana logs? If so can you paste that here as well?
