Hello,

I read this Enterprise Search FAQ | Elastic
I am bit confused on what Elastic means they want to focus on "Elasticsearch" instead of Enterprise Search.

We were looking into using Workplace Search but if its going away with no alternative, then there's no point?

Please advise, I could be misunderstanding

Just to add:
We might not end up using elastic for enterprise search after all.

It appears like more third-party solutions like Microsoft are now integrating their own search engine similar to elastic to find work documents:

Hi @erikg Yeah a bit confusing...

Basically App Search, Workplace Search (the Apps on Top Of Core Elasticsearch and Specialized Experience in Kibana) are being "absorbed" in the Core Elasticsearch and Kibana

The alternative go forward will be using the builtin in Content Connectors, Sematic search, GenAI search that is built into Elasticsearch Kibana instead of Separate Apps ...

Specifically here is the Before / After for Workplace search... the go forward is a stronger offering in some places and a few gaps in other...
