Error connecting with sense

I can no longer connect to elasticsearch with sense.
I get the following error:

Error connecting to 'http://ec2-xx-xx-xx-xx.compute-1.amazonaws.com:9200/index_name':
Client request error: connect ECONNREFUSED 10.0.0.249:9200

Why would this happen out of the blue?

What versions of ES and sense? Did you upgrade either one recently? Can you access the host Elasticsearch is running on from the machine sense is running on via curl or postman?
