I configured ILM to automatically delete old indexes

Shows errors:

illegal_argument_exception: index.lifecycle.rollover_alias [ms001-backup03] does not point to index

What is index.lifecycle.rollover_alias? And why is it needed?

  • The index.lifecycle.rollover_alias must be configured as the alias to roll over.
