ES server crash

Hi guys,

Not sure what went wrong with the es server, but it seems to have
crashed. I was updating lots of documents one-by-one (using es-0.90.0,
and it doesn't support bulk updates).
The last line I see in the logs is of gc:

[2013-06-15 01:22:10,398][WARN ][monitor.jvm ] [solr27]
[gc][ParNew][896331][78159] duration [8.1s], collections [2]/[8.6s],
total [8.1s]/[46.5m], memory [11.7gb]->[11.7gb]/[31.9gb], all_pools
{[Code Cache] [11.2mb]->[11.2mb]/[48mb]}{[Par Eden Space]
[75.8mb]->[998.7kb]/[133.1mb]}{[Par Survivor Space]
[14.1mb]->[14.6mb]/[16.6mb]}{[CMS Old Gen]
[11.6gb]->[11.7gb]/[31.8gb]}{[CMS Perm Gen] [45mb]->[45mb]/[82mb]}

Are there any pointers on how I can debug this more? I don't see any
heapdumps, or anything else.

Abhishek

Hi,

i don't know if this helps, but do you know the bigdesk- plugin for
elasticsearch?

You can monitor the memory usage of your elasticsearch instance.

Greetings Christian
