Explaining or see what an aggregation is trying to do

I'm aware of "explain" https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/reference/current/search-request-explain.html - detailing how a query score is calculated , but is there anything that does the same for an aggregation?

E.g. that explains how an aggregation has calculated what it has, or visualises it in some way?

Not yet, that is coming in ES 5.0.

On a separate topic - why is ES5.0 "5.0"? What happened to ver's 3 and 4?

We're aligning everything, so instead of 2.3/4.5/1.2 we have 5.X :slight_smile:
