I had observed two times that during filebeat load if my elastic or filebeat server crashes due to any kind of infra-related issue. Then when it comes online the filebeat is not getting read from the point where it stops. I need to start again a fresh load. Currently the server is down will upload the filebeat yml file once it online. meantime can you please tell any configuration changes requires in yml file.
Hi @strawgate thanks for response actually due to infra issue the server was down. Please find the yml file which I used.

Oh are you saying that Filebeat is not resuming from the last log it sent from the file but instead is starting from the beginning of the file on restart?
Are you persisting the ${path.data}/registry path?
Does that path exist and do you see something in it?
Sorry, i'm saying that there should be a /var/lib/beat/registry folder on disk that contains information on files and the current cursor location for filebeat. If you are not persisting this directory that could explain it starting fresh every time you reboot.
