Is there a listing of the paths per OS?

Running CentOS 7 and seem to be finding a lack of path information disturbing.
The default modules say "Filebeat will choose the paths depending on your OS."
How do I know if Filebeat actually knows the log file paths?

Most linux distributions will log to /var/log/program/xyz.log. Simililary, windows have a different log path by default, so FileBeat will read logs from those paths when those modules are enabled.

For any custom use-cases you will have to configure the path.
