Now that Facebook has alleviated licensing issues with GraphQL, has there been any talk of integrating the GraphQL protocol as a way to query Elasticsearch? Do you think this might be something a plugin would be able to do?
I don't think we have any active work on this sort of integration at this stage, we're focussed on building more core functionality.
A plugin should definitely be able to provide such an interface
Any recommendations on where to start learning how to write an Elasticsearch plugin? I checked out the documentation page for it but it didn't help me much. I haven't cooked in Java before either. It would be really awesome if there were a guide for developers to get started with this and an explanation of how it works.
Also, is Java the only language you can write them in?
Thank you for your help.
