Hardware Requirement for setting up Elastic Stack 7.6

Hello All,

I am new to Elastic stack and want to setup Elastic Stack 7.6 for Prod and Dev environments.

What will be the minimum Hardware Requirement for setting up Elastic Stack 7.6 on VM machine with Debian10.

  • Prod and Dev VM machines will be different
  • All 3 (Elastic Search, kibana and logstash) will be installed on same VM machine in different dockers in both env.

Use Case: We will be monitoring apache and nginx logs for our application
Retention period: 10 -15 days
Daily log size: Apache - 2GB /day, Nginx - 1GB /day

  • Also Is it necessary to setup multiple elastic search nodes?
  • Can we setup only single elastic nodes ?

All help will be appreciated. Need the info urgently.
