Heapsize Elastic + Logstash on same node

Hi all,
when I am running Elasticsearch and Logstash both on the same node and want to give them the max usable heap size, is it possible to give them both 32GB (or rather 26 GB as its defined save in the docs) or do I have to give them 16GB (13GB) each, in view of the 32GB JVM heap size limit?

There's not a whole bunch of value for giving Logstash that sized heap.

You are better off giving Elasticsearch the larger heap size.
