How to change mapping name?

Hi!
After reindex I have a new name index and mapping (type).
To use the old name of the index, i can add aliases.
Is it possible to easily change the mapping name (type)?

No. You can't.
You have to reindex old data with the new type.

I would recommend to do it in a new index and then remove the old index.
