Can you describe your use case? Are you trying to add contributor text for additional layers? Which layer types?

There is an open issue, https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/32821, to allow setting attribution for all source types.

You can add attribution to TMS and WMS layers

There is not. Can you describe your use case? Why do you want to change the attributions for EMS Basemaps?

I was thinking to add a comment type thing

I would recommend embedding your map in a dashboard and adding a markdown panel
