How to disable limitation of index fields

In the ElasticSearch docs, I found a way to increase the default index fields parameter (1000), I wonder if there is an option to disable the limitation for good?

Welcome!

You should not remove safeguards.

You can indeed create an index template which set this limit to an higher number but I'd not recommend touching the default value which is here for good reasons.
