We have an active-active multi-region ES and Kibana configuration. We want to be able to keep the .kibana index in region A synced with the .kibana index in region B so that in the event of a regional failover, users will be able to operate out of region B with all of the same configurations and dashboards they had saved when working out of region A.
I have done a bit of research into the ES cross region replication feature already.
Unfortunately cross cluster replication is not supported for the .kibana system index.
The only option I can think about is to keep regular snapshots of your cluster but then use them to restore on the other cluster, even that would differ from an "active-active" status.
