How to set replication to async for a index

Thanks Mark,
the page explain what needs to effectively be done but not how to achieve
it. I just need an example.
is it something like

settings {
.....
"mapping.allow_type_wrapper":true,
...
"replication": "async"
...
}

in the index's setting?
