How to update the templates

Hi

I am using 6.4 version of ES

My scenario is, I have two templates for same mapping ex: temp1 and temp2

i want to get union of properties when i apply temp1 and then temp2. Currently temp2 is overriding temp1. Is there a way to achieve?
