How to use the time-series-plugin in Kibana

I came across a github repo "time-series-plugin" but I am unable to find the instructions on how to use that in a dashboard.

I see quite some activitiy on this repo until mid-2019. It's quite after that.

Anyone know how to use this in a Kibana Report?

I tried kibana-plugin install
and a few other options but all errored out...
