Impact to converting single node setup to multi node?

Hey Guys,

I want to convert single node cluster setup to multi node(preferably 2 ) cluster setup .
Can you give me some idea about how to execute this task. What precautions I have to take and does it have any negative impact on my indices, data or search and retrieval .

I'm using Elasticsearch 5.6.2
