I have got bulk of emails in an archive folder and want to index them through elasticsearch. what are the possible options/ methods available with me. Assuming that a lot of people here had already done that.

Hey,
you should take a look at the ingest-attachment processor. There is also a nice blog post about indexing arxiv.org using that plugin, that might help to get started.

I dont know why but i am having hard time in installing third party plugins. I guess i need to install jruby and there is a specific version which is supported. Do you have an idea where can i get support for that?
