I would like to build some intelligence on the visualization on Kibana such as sending alerts when a particular value is low or high, send emails when events occur etc.
Can anybody suggest if Kibana would be right tool for this

Sounds like a job for Alerting in X-Pack.
KB is not, it's the visualisation level and is passive in that regards.
But as @EddieTurizo mentions it is something the Alerting functionality does.
