Is add_kubernetes_metadata in filebeat enabled by default?

Just a general question I guess since the documentation wasn't very clear to me.

When running Filebeat on Kubernetes as instructed here,

Is the add_kubernetes_metadata processor supposed to be enabled by default? Or do I need to configure to enable?

I'm using v7.6.

add_kubernetes_metadata is enabled by default in the reference configuration mentioned on this link, so if you are using this configuration you don't need to add anything else.

This reference configuration also contains instructions about hints-based autodiscover. When using this, same metadata is added without needing to use add_kubernetes_metadata.
