Is it possible to change variable names through mapping?

If I have the following:
"categories":[{"category":"TB","totaldur":55},{"category":"CPB","totaldur":568},{"category":"PP","totaldur":23}

is it possible to change it so it's like this
"categories":[{"category":"TB","tbtotaldur":55},{"category":"CPB","cpbtotaldur":568},{"category":"PP","pptotaldur":23}
