Overtime my index pattern got corrupted due to unknown reasons. Kibana only allows me to remove the entire index pattern and I also need to remove the indices associated with it to allow a new index pattern to be made it seems. Is it possible to remove specific corrupted field in an index pattern?

What do you mean by a corrupted field?
If you take a look at the screenshot in full you probably understand what I meant immediately.
To answer my own question: you will need to go inside .kibana_1 indice and update the index pattern via _update. There is no graphic interface for this, you will have to use HTTP / TCP commands.
There is nothing that shows as corruption in your image, which is why I asked the question.
