Is reducing number of replica is rm -r operation?

Hi All,

We are initially planning to set number of replica 1 and later on want to
reduce the number of replica to 0.

Is reducing an replica is an rm -r type operation or it utilized the
heavy system resources?

It is lightweight. "rm -r" as you say.
