Is there way to update or insert index from another indexes

I am a beginner in ELK . tried to insert and update an index from another indexes from ingest node , pipelines . but still couldn't find how to do.

Ingest pipelines are not designed to read from a source.
But may be using the reindex api could help.
Otherwise have a look at logstash.
