Kibana 4.1 talking to multiple elastic nodes

Is there another alternative out there for kibana beyond https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/kibana/current/production.html#load-balancing ??

Guessing the other option is to put multiple kibana hosts behind a load balancer each pointing to a ndoe in the es cluster?
