Kibana map metrics for heat map

Hi,

I currently have kibana 7.8 and am trying to add Metrics to the Heat Map in Kibana's mapping visualization. However, unlike other map layers the Heat Map 'Metrics' section has no button to add a metric. How do I correct this so that I can add metrics to the heat map?

hi @john9570, first of all, welcome to the Elastic community

This looks like a bug. I've tested it both in 7.8 and in the development code branch and I could reproduce it. I've reported it to our ticket system, feel free to follow up there or subscribe to get updates.

@john9570 just a heads up that the issue has been already fixed and will be released with upcoming 7.8.1. I can't specify an exact release date, but it should be soon.
