Kibana on https with docker-compose

Hi everyone,
I'd like to put kibana web page on https instead of http.
I did set everything came to my mind in order to do so, and this is my docker-compose.yml file.
the problems I encountered are:

  • elasticsearch is on https and kibana is not
  • inside config/certs/instances.yml I don't have the instance of kibana and I don't know why because it is written on the docker-compose file.
  • I don't even have any kibana folder in /config/certs with kibana.ca and kibana.key within it, while I have for es01, 02 and 03
something makes me think that xpack is not set right in kibana environment on the docker-compose.yml

Do you have any idea on what causes this? do you know how to put kibana on https?

@Marius_Dragomir can you please take a look at this? Thanks!

no one else knows how to help?
it seems that it does not create any certificate for kibanam even if I put kibana in the bash command on the docker-compose

Hi, do you know somebody else?

I recommend following this guide: Set up basic security for the Elastic Stack plus secured HTTPS traffic | Elasticsearch Guide [8.5] | Elastic
