Kibana UI crashing when searching Index Pattern

Using Kibana 7.6.1, when I open a Codex Index Pattern in the Discover Page the UI freezes and stops responding. No error messages.

what's a "Codex" Index Pattern?

This seems to be a bug, and I would log here https://github.com/elastic/kibana/issues/new . Adding steps to reproduce this issue would be really helpful.
