Limits of scripted fields

Hi!

First of all, sorry for my bad english.

I need some help in order to understand if I can use scripted fields for my purpose. I want to calculate a field by a multiplication with other fields. However, I must know the time for doing the multiplication, so I have to check some rows before and some rows after the actual one. Is it any way of doing it with a scripted field? I dont want to add more information with logstash.

Can scripted fields do this? Which is the alternative ?

In general, scripted fields only will allow you to work within a single document, so it's probably not possible for you to accomplish what you need.
