Logstash 1.5 system metrics plugin

Hey all,

Before Logstash 1.5 i was using collectd to collect system metrics.
Now in the 1.5 version of logstash it seems that this plugin is not available anymore?

Is there an alternative that can be used?
Or is it still in development? (I don't see much activity on it on github)

collectd is no longer an input plugin, but rather a codec for the UDP input plugin.
