Logstash for z/OS

Hello there,

Hope you are doing well! I have a few questions regarding Log monitoring on Mainframe through Logstash.

My understanding here is extract and transform logs into JSON through JCL workbench and send it to the listening instance of Logstash off z/OS platform like Windows or Linux and monitor logs.

I have a couple of questions regarding this if anyone has ever done that.

1. Does “IBM Transaction Analysis Workbench for z/OS”
   require any licensing in order to do the process or you just need to run JCL workbench?

2. can we extract all kind of logs?

I don't think we can answer that, you'd need to ask IBM.

Logstash will happily accept anything that's sent to it though.
