Logstash input jdbc plugin

Hi dear friends
i have a very basic question, i wanna knoe how should i use Logstash input jdbc plugin?
first install logstash and setup the configuration file and then
install the plugin and try to index the data in elastic using specifying the oracle DB address while indexing. is it true or do i need to do anything else?
