Logstash password and username authentication

Hi guys,

I was searching in the documentation a way to authenticate a client, for example a metricbeat, into a logstash pipeline using an username and a password, but i couldn't find any option for this.

Is there any configuration to make this possible?

I looked in the metricbeat.reference.yml file on a recent install of Metricbeat 8.2, and the Logstash output section has a lot of entries for certificates and related parameters, but nothing for username & password. Back in the 7.x versions there was support for username & password, but maybe that's been deprecated.

Yep, i think those options are gone from the recent versions.
