Logstash stops elasticsearch

After starting logstash, elasticsearch stops.
If logstash is not running, then elasticsearch and kibana work and I go to the kibana web interface.
I tried to cleanly remove logstash and install with default settings, I did only:
cp -R /etc/elasticsearch/certs /etc/logstash
chown -R root:logstash /etc/logstash/certs

The result is the same.
This means that incorrectly configured configs and filters can be discarded, since with default settings, the service simply does not perform any useful work, but it works, but elasticsearch stops anyway.

Could you share the logs of Logstash and Elasticsearch cluster when you start Logstash and when Elasticsearch stop?
Have you config java heap size for Logstash and ElasicSearch in jvm.options?

This is true. Why does it stop elastic? I wrote above that I did this in order to eliminate the error of incorrect settings.

There's no reason to Logstash to interfere in Elasticsearch running or not, they are two independent tools, also you didn't share enough information about your issue.

What does your logstash.yml looks like? What does your elasticsearch.yml looks like? Did you set the heap for Logstash? Where is the logs from elasticsearch that show that it was stopped? You need to share more logs.

What happens when you have Logstash running with some config and try to start Elasticsearch? What do you have in logstash logs, elasticsearch logs and also your system log?

This is when you run in the service mode. Perhaps you run it in the command mode.

You should have something in /etc/logstash/conf.d/*.conf
By default, LS process .conf files from /etc/logstash/conf.d/.
To test LS, save this in /etc/logstash/conf.d/ as test.conf and run LS. If you have own .conf file put it there.

It is not possible to attach files, just paste the relevant log content, try to start logstash and elasticsearch and get the more recent logs and share using the preformatted text option, the </> button.

Elasticsearch will try to claim 50% of the RAM with default settings if it can not it will fail to start.

Yes, everything is on one server. Do you think the server is not enough memory?

Perhaps..if you start other processes and then try to start elasticsesrch , on your 8GB host elasticsearch will try to claim 4GB if it is not available it will fail.

How to set it correctly. I want to try setting 2gb
