Manually insert logs

Hi,

I have a question on putting log into ELK for devices what does not write logs elsewhere but only on its buffer. While we can export out the log into files manually, can we also manually input this file to ELK for log analysis ?

I guess that really depends on what the devices can do.

Elasticsearch will accept them as long as you can ship them to it.

Agree. I am thinking to use filebeat to pickup the logfile, while we update the logfile manually for the time being. i am not sure if that will works.
