Would there be a way to visualize Italy as the second photo?

You can remove the basemap by clicking the layer name in the legend and select "Remove layer"
In newer version, you can change the background color.
so i clicking on hide will i be able to show only italy without showing the countries around italy? That is, it differentiates photo 1 from photo 2
Yes, click on either "Hide layer" or "Remove layer".
