Is it possible ?

  • Add metrics in field.yml and not in the code

for example:
we want :

  • field named folder with the path of the vm from the datacenter
  • field name host with the name of the host of the virtualmachine

Yes, you can modify fields.yml. With beats 6.0 the Elasticsearch template mapping and the Kibana index pattern are dynamically generated from fields.yml.
