Migrating of indexs from old testing cluster to existing running prod cluster

I am looking forward for moving all my indexes created on development box to the new already production box. How shall i do it ?

so currently the development box has huge amount of old data which I want to migrate to new boxes. Do i have to create snapshots on old boxes and then copy and re-index the new prod boxes ?
