Monitoring Elastic Stack?

Hello

We have a monitoring system that watchest the Elastic Stack but the CPU and memory randomly shoot up to 94% (in case of memory) and all of a sudden, go back down to 70% or so.

Are there any metrics that I should watch? Levels of warning and critical?

Thank you

We'd recommend using the inbuilt Monitoring functionality - Monitor a cluster | Elasticsearch Guide [7.14] | Elastic

What is the system you are using and what does it check for?

Nagios. A monitoring system that is centralized is better IMO.

Its pretty basic; CPU, memory, disk space and if the services are up and running.

Without deeper insight into what the cluster is doing, what you are monitoring won't tell you much unfortunately.

Understandable.

Thanks for the help
