MS Excel plugin for Elasticsearch

Hi ,

Is there any plugin point already worked on for MS Excel.
I just wanted to run the query from MS Excel and fetch the results in MS
Excel.
Is that possible using any current work ?

Thanks
Vineeth

FYI an integration of the CSV/Excel library of Ralph Schuster
http://techblog.ralph-schuster.eu/csv-utility-package-for-java/ is on my
TODO list for a next JDBC river version (more specifically, an included
JDBC driver for CSV/Excel files) - no release date yet -

Hi,

you can also use Power Query to integrate Elasticsearch into Excel. Read
how it
works: http://www.bigdata-unleashed.com/20140708/smarte-analyse-von-log-daten-mit-excel-und-elasticsearch

Best regards,
Matthias

Hi
I have developed a Elasticsearch plugin which solves the problem. Check it out at https://github.com/raghavendar-ts/Elasticsearch-Report-Plugin. There is also another web app which I developed to convert Elasticsearch data to Excel and download/schedule/E-Mail. The URL is https://github.com/raghavendar-ts/ElasticTab-Elasticsearch-to-Excel-Report

Hi Vineeth,

CData Software has created The Elasticsearch Excel Add-In that is a powerful tool that allows you to connect with live Elasticsearch document databases, directly from Microsoft Excel. It is used to read, write, and update Elasticsearch from Excel spreadsheet.
Just take a look and see if this meet your needs: http://www.cdata.com/drivers/elasticsearch/excel/
