New repository plugin: Swift

(Chad Horohoe) #1

Hi all,

First post to the list. Joined so I could announce my new plugin that I've
been working
on. I've written snapshot/restore repository plugin that's backed by Swift
(and hopefully
by extension, Ceph).

The source is available
at https://github.com/demon/elasticsearch-repository-swift and
has mainly been tested against 1.1.x. It should mostly work against
2.x/master as well
with some minor Guava import changes.

Issues/pull requests very welcome on the Github project.

Couple of important updates in the last few days. I've moved the plugin to
its proper
(and final, I promise) home at

Version has been bumped to 0.2. Additionally, the plugin is now available
via Central for
easier installation. Full command with groupID and so forth is:

plugin -i org.wikimedia.elasticsearch.swift/swift-repository-plugin/0.2

Again, any feedback is more than welcome on the Github project.
