Old gen not clearing in ES

Hi ,

My prod node heap space is full so i have restarted my es node still old gen not clearing any reason for this please suggest me.

It sounds like you have exceeded the capacity of the node and need more resources. Which version of Elasticsearch are you using? How much heap do you have assigned? How much data/indices/shards do you have?

Thank you for quick reply. I have 24 Gb machines each i have assinged 12 GB of heap i have 4 nodes in prod.it is signs like node 4 under memory pressure but the same case it got worked previously. 5 shards and 1 replica i have. i have increased node 4 RAM up to 16 GB and the remaining nodes are 12 GB ecah as node 4 under memory pressure can we do like this or all nodes in cluster should have same memory?

and RMI tcp connection doing memory leak it seems. it is keep on creating connection from longer time not closing this i have integrated JMX to my prod nodes.

please suggest me
