Oneshot River Replacement in ES 5

We are using oneshot river to load data from SQL Server to Elastic Search 1.4. Now we are thinking of migrating to 5.4.

What is a good solution to replace oneshot river. We have looked at logstash but wanted to know if there is any other solution to load data from SQL Server.
