Option to disabled _index , _type , _id info in the response

Is this possible to save bandwidth.

Hello David ,

Well i have a case where each document is very small and i need to download
like 500 of them.
Here the _index , _type , _id information is more than a single document
themself.
I am not using them in anyway and it would be a good idea to disable them.

You can try this plugin

It reformats search results into a simple array of hits, throwing away
_index, _type, _id

I see. The only thing I can see is to add another application layer or a REST plugin which does it.

Yes , this is what i had in mind.
Though its as simple as adding a extra layer , its kinda very useful when
it comes to timeseries or small documents storage.
