Parente and child Relations in different indexes (I am using rollover)

Hey guys,

I saw one post 4 years ago that says it is not possible. I was wondering if it has changed.

My work mate explain our problem in this link:

Basically we have a rollover everyday and we can have child node in the next day without the parent, still possible to query using this relation even in different indexes ?

No, it is not possible. All documents that form part of a parent-child relationship need to live in the same shard.
