Performance ideas for log files

Hi

I am using elasticsearch for live logfiles. Meaning there is a lot of writing, some reading and never deleting (only indices, never docs). Thanks to the help here I am already doing a lot of things which helped improving performance (eg better filter queries, bulk uploads, daily indices ...)

Since I am always looking for improvements I wondered if I could/should disable doc deletes (index.gc_deletes , index.ttl.disable_purge) and if there are other things I could consider.

Cheers
Valentin
